This template is intended to provide a quick, easy, and consistent inline link from articles about musicians to their section on the [[List of music students by teacher: A to B]], [[List of music students by teacher: C to F|C to F]], [[List of music students by teacher: G to J|G to J]], [[List of music students by teacher: K to M|K to M]], [[List of music students by teacher: N to Q|N to Q]], [[List of music students by teacher: R to S|R to S]], and [[List of music students by teacher: T to Z|T to Z]].
The advantage to automatic alphabetical sorting is that when the LMST article is broken up more/differently, only this template needs updating, not every link to LMST in every article.
